Grangeville High School’s chapter of HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America), in partnership with the Prairie Shootout held in December, raised money by selling T-shirts and donated the proceeds to the Camas Prairie Food Bank. LCSC announces fall 2017 honor roll

Regional students were among the total 896 at Lewis-Clark State College who earned honor roll distinction for the fall 2017 semester. Among the honorees, 426 made the president’s list while 470 were named to the dean’s list.

Kids Klub Inc., awarded Rural Community Grant from NWFCS

Northwest Farm Credit Services recently awarded Kids Klub Inc., in Grangeville a $1,500 Northwest FCS Rural Community Grant. “Kids Klub is honored and excited to receive a Northwest Farm Credit Services grant,” said Shannon Fuchs, Kids Klub board member. “The funds will be used to help us complete our building project for the Kids Klub, which will allow us to serve more children. Thank you to Northwest Farm Credit Services for your generous support of Kids Klub and the kids in our community.”

Faith Lutheran in Kamiah sets activities

Faith Lutheran Church in Kamiah welcomes everyone to attend services each Sunday at 11 a.m. The church is located at Sixth and Idaho streets. The annual meeting will be on Sunday, Jan. 28. The meeting takes place after a covered dish dinner. Everyone is invited to come take part in this meeting that will effect guidelines of Faith Lutheran Church.

Prayer time set for Jan. 13

The community is invited to gather in prayer at the Soltman Center (across Main Street from the hospital) in Grangeville at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 13. Let’s Talk About it book series to focus on global perspectives; First meeting set for Jan. 16; books available now

Chase those winter blues by grabbing a book and discussing it with a group of peers. Grangeville Centennial Library was again chosen to be a partner in the Let’s Talk About It program. The public discussion group will meet through April. All meetings are set for Tuesdays, 5:30 p.m., at the library, 215 West North Street, Grangeville. Books are currently available for pickup and the first session is set for Jan. 16. Call 983-0951.
