ALACCA is site for Operation Christmas Child shoebox drop

ALACCA Bible Camp, 101 China Garden Road, is a drop-off for Operation Christmas Child’s shoebox program through the Samaritan’s Purse ministry. Drop-off days are 10 a.m. to noon Nov. 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, and 18; 5 to 7 p.m. Nov. 15, 16 and 17; 3 to 5 p.m. Nov. 19; and Nov. 20, 8 to 10 a.m. Shoeboxes with small toys, candy and clothes are sent, along with the gospel of Jesus Christ in their language, to children throughout the world.

Fall dinner, bazaar to be held in Kamiah Nov. 12

The annual fall dinner and bazaar is set for Sunday, Nov. 12 at St. Catherine’s Parish Hall, 7th and Idaho streets, in Kamiah. The doors will open at 11:30 a.m. for those interested in playing Bingo or viewing the items in the silent auction and country store.

Dinner, raffle, Bingo set for Ferdinand

Assumption Parish of Ferdinand will be holding its annual dinner and raffle Sunday, Nov. 5, 2017 at the Ferdinand parish hall. A roast beef and ham dinner and dessert will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Cost for adults is $10, K through 6th grade is $5, and preschool and under eat free. There will be a presentation of quilts to area veterans at 2 p.m. The raffle drawing will begin at 4 p.m. with more than 20 chances to win mostly cash prizes. Bingo will be played all day.

Trio brings gospel flavor to Grangeville

“We don’t like to just blow into towns and blow out,” said Korey Kemp. “We want to make a difference in the name of Jesus Christ.” Kemp is the lead man in Allegiance Trio, which performed at the United Methodist Church (UMC) to a crowd of about 100 people Monday, Oct. 16, along with members Jake Sammons and Corey Lackey.

Teens are invited to a hayride and bonfire Saturday, Nov. 4, Grangeville Church of the Nazarene. Teens will meet at the church, 515 West North 2nd Street, at 5 p.m. Bring friends and coats. Faith Lutheran sets activities

Faith Lutheran Church invites the public to attend weekly worship services. Winter worship time is at 11 a.m., followed by refreshments and fellowship. The church is located at 6th and Idaho Streets. Fall Lecture Series: Sister Alfreda’s Attic is final in 2017 presentations

Siamese twin piglets perfectly preserved from when they were stillborn on a local farm decades ago, a mounted golden eagle with wings outstretched, an antique cornet trumpet. These types of artifacts comprised Sister Alfreda Elsensohn’s emerging collection that she began to display in 1931 in the old St. Gertrude’s Academy attic. So began the Historical Museum at St. Gertrude. A replica of the attic has just been completed as part of a five-year exhibit remodel plan.

Cross Country Cowboy Fellowship set for Oct. 28
