Idaho County Veterans Center marks Flag Day with pole dedication, flag retirement ceremonies

Boy Scout Troop 555 conducted a public flag retirement ceremony Wednesday afternoon, June 14, at the Idaho County Veterans Center in Grangeville. Time allowed the scouts to retire 57 worn-out flags that were brought to the Veterans Center, and they have about a dozen more still to finish.

Flag Day Ceremony

Flag Day was marked at the Idaho County Veterans Center in Grangeville with the dedication of a new flag pole and the designation of approximately 70 worn-out flags for retirement. Boy Scout Troop 555 conducted the retirements, having heard aspiring Eagle Scout Kyle Alter's presentation regarding the new flag pole, which for his Eagle project he helped the center establish.
