Districts say ‘Yes’ on school levies

“Yes” was the word for local school district patrons Tuesday, March 11, when it came to education levies and improvements.

*Voters in the Kamiah School District gave an affirmative nod to a $650,000, one-year supplemental levy with 588 yes votes (55.89 percent) and 464 no votes (44.11 percent).

*In the Highland School District (Craigmont) voters said yes to a one-year, $499,000 supplemental levy with 195 yes votes (67.94 percent) and 92 no votes (32.06 percent).

*Nezperce School District patrons approved an 11-year, $400,000 capital improvement bond with 145 in favor (69.05 percent), and 65 against (30.95 percent).

All results are unofficial until election results are canvassed this week.
